Moving right along we have moved north to Colorado Springs staying at Mounaindale Cabins & RV Resort, highly recommend beautiful campground and sites, took a walk last evening and spotted 3 deer and one visits all the time they call him Nubs and will eat out of your hand. Will post pictures from the campground later did not take my phone on the walk.

Fires yes, they had one near Fort Carson but now contained and another one about 50 miles from where we are but no threat to us.....at least not yet and only here for 2 more nights. Not sure about Pikes Peak now with the fires as the views might not be good because of all the smoke

Smart still on the truck as our son and room mate joined us and we are using his VW Jetta TDI for sightseeing, he will love to drive up just to roll coal all the way to the top but did say his brakes heated up going down the last time.
