Back from the AWESOME rally yesterday afternoon and unpacked.

We left for rally Saturday mid morning from Iowa and stayed at Johnson sauk state park in Illinois then proceeded to head to rally sunday morning.
After staying at the rally sunday through friday morning we packed up and headed to another camp ground back in Iowa to finish the weekend camping there.
And then headed home from there yesterday.

Total mileage from dic on the duramax was 821.6 miles
Total fuel consumed was 82.8 gallons.
Dic read 9.9 mpg running 70mph.
Hand calculated mpg was
9.9275362319 mpg

Worth every penny to meet all the people from the forum that either stopped by site 4e4 or tracked me down in the fair grounds!

Had I went, it would have been 2200+ miles round trip.

I have been averaging 11 mpg here in Colorado so I would assume it would be a bit better on the flatter ground in the central USA.

I also weigh close to 28,000lbs loaded so all in all not bad, though I would be about 3000lbs lighter going to Goshen because I would not have the Toys with me.

I would probably average 12 mpg for a Goshen trip and approx. 190 gallons.

I run 65-68 mph on flat land. I would also most likely use about 2.5 gallons of DEF on the trip.
