If i (or in this case the owner) knew the exact height of the RV and the exact height of the service station canopy and the height of the RV was/is lower than the canopy,then where's the "chance" he's taking?
If the owner didn't have those numbers or a spotter to watch for him,then he might be taking a "chance".
With a combo that long and tall...why not use the convenience of a big rig truck plaza that simplifies the process?!...why over complicate an already thought out function

looks like me last summer, had the wife climb the ladder and give me a look, cleared by 2 inches...it was my fault, traveling back roads, needed fuel before we got on the interstate and the only station we saw that had diesel was under the canopy and was it ever tight and super busy with other traffic, now if I get fuel under the canopy it usually is 18 feet high and just for big rigs
Be interesting to know what he was carrying in the garage
