April 14th was Ring Day at the Cardinals ballgame. Along with the players getting their Championship rings, all fans entering with a ticket were to receive a wearable replica of the ring. I though for sure we would get a “Cracker Jack” type of ring. As it turned out the ring we were given was the best freebie the Cardinals have ever given out.
The ring is made of heavy metal and weighs an ounce and a half. It even has glass stones replicating the diamonds in the real championship rings. The game was rain delayed and I was surprised to see guys walking around buying the rings from Chicago Cubs fans who came down for the game. What were they going to do with all the extra rings. What idiots I thought.
WRONG! Those rings are selling on EBAY for over a hundred dollars each. This isn’t “buy it now pricing,” these are actual bids for the rings. I guess I’m not much of a businessman.
