Rams ain't going anywhere. This ain't the wishful dreaming of a St. Louis fanboy. This is just me reading the tea leaves.
#1 Kronke (rams owner) has been stepping on toes in the NFL since he became majority owner of the Rams. The NFL is way-big-huge on community involvement, and Silent Stan has been a vapor in the STL. Not to mention the fact that Kronke has thumbed his nose at the NFL rules about owning other sports teams.
#2 The NFL has stated many times in the past that they will not allow a team to move if there is strong community support. The Rams have dished up a steady diet of mediocrity in the last 10 years but still has pretty good numbers in terms of attendance and TV ratings here.
#3 Kronke's stadium plan in LA is in danger of the FAA saying 'nope'. It will impact the flight plan into LAX, and if the FAA says no, then it ain't gonna happen.
#4 STL is the only city of the three (including San Diego and Oakland) to have a viable stadium plan by the deadline.
And last but most important
#5 The Chargers/Raiders shared stadium plan has the backing of Disney, which pretty much owns ABC who owns ESPN. ESPN is a primary partner of the NFL.
my prediction:
NFL is gonna let SD and Oakland to move to LA, and deny the Rams bid to move. Kronke is either gonna ignore them and move anyway, or sell his stake in the Rams.
