Had a un-welcome visitor after supper

The wife and I were at home prepping the TT for our next trip and sat down in the booth to plan the menu, when I see a 25-30lb raccoon come out of the woods and up the hill towards our camper.

I watch carefully thinking this is going to be a scene (freak-out) if she see's it. Sure enough the critter starts onto the steps and that flimsy screen door is all that is between her and it. I immediately jumped to defend my TT.

And there it was, my wife's scream from hell. It took couple of minutes for the ringing in my ears to stop. Thankfully no bleeding this time. Oh, and the critter vanished.

When they say, choose your weapon, I just have to scare the wife.

Too funny.

So, when ya go camping it sounds like she is more of the flora instead of the fauna type.

Talking

Really, she is no daisy. Soaking wet she is 103lb and when her eyes get that look or she runs the sweeper, I leave the house.

It is just getting caught of guard that sends her running. I have learned to do prep work if I have the time.

We too have had unwanted visitors come into our campsite.

Last fall we were having a great camping trip at an Illinois COE park. It was a weekday and since schools were back in session the campground was nearly deserted. My wife and I were sitting around a campfire in the dark that night when I decided to roast some hotdogs over the campfire. We like our dogs crusty and dark on the outside so I roasted them for quite a bit. We had no sooner started eating our dogs when out of the darkness strolled a skunk and he was headed right for us sniffing the air as he came.

Instantly the night air was filled with incredibly loud and high-pitched girlie screams. OMG, the screams were so loud I thought my eardrums would burst. We jumped out of our chairs and headed inside our fifth wheel as quickly as we could. Even so, the screaming continued until my wife was able to calm me down.

The skunk continued sniffing the air by the campfire for quite a while before leaving. Skunks being omnivores, I guess the smell of roasting hotdogs brought him to us. It was already getting late so we stayed inside for the rest of the night.

Talking Had to read that twice.

So, your wife has a calming effect on you. Balance, it is what makes life fun.

Had a incident like that once .Wife let the door open as we were setting up at the campground. I walk in and there was a huge bat flying around .Told the wife to come in the camper .She came in and saw it after a few seconds ran out like a banshee . screaming
She asked me WTF I was thinking sending her in there.
I said I heard bats like big hair and sure enough it flew out following her .
Needless to say I will never hear the end that one Lmao
