Heading south

I had my last doctor's appointment today, and I don't have to go back for 6 months. He told me to enjoy Florida (he knew we were wanting to go). I invited him to come along, but he said with 3 kids in college, he couldn't afford to take the time off. Old Coot, we will stop in Charlotte and I'll get in touch. I wonder if crutches will sink in sand at the beach?

RICHARD! You're accomplishing that goal!

(it's not like there was ever any doubt, eh?)

Enjoy Florida!

Great news, Richard just called and will be coming to the house tomorrow @ 10 am. So glad to be able to meet a man with such a wonderful attitude and determination. It will indeed be an honor.

I'm jealous. Richard would be an honor to meet!

Richard, many beaches have sand-wheel chairs that you can rent. They have big bubble-like wheels that go over the sand. We explored them for my Mom when she was having pain/difficulty walking.

Met Richard and Linda today, decided to make them a set of elec. pvc awning poles. Richard and I went to Lowes and got the material, returned home and started the fabrication. BTW, Lowes has caps for the 1-1/4" pvc. Went to lunch, came back, finished the poles and will mount them for them tomorrow when they come by on their way to Charleston, Savannah and beyond. Super nice couple.

Installed Richard and Linda's poles today and they will be heading down to BombDoc's territory tomorrow. They will be camping in Yemassee for a few days while they tour Charleston and Savannah.

Pleasure was all ours. Enjoy Charleston/Savannah and hopefully will see you in Barberville for the opening of the WoO sprintcar series.

Staying at KOA in Yemasse, SC for a few days. We are enjoying a nice evening under the awning and using our new awning poles. They work great. Getting the hang of being a one legged camper. I can even get my coffee cup outside without spilling it. So far, even though I've tried, I haven't fallen. Scared Linda a couple of times. Looking forward to seeing my brother-in-law in Florida. He said we would go fishing, as long as it's not for sharks and I'm the bait. Losing my other leg is something I don't think I could stand for.
