Heading south......maybe

Two months now since major surgery- amputation of right leg. I had my IV antibiotics extended for 2 weeks, today was the last day! My IV PICC line comes out tomorrow! I'll be glad to get that out of my arm. The infection doctor says everything looks good so far. I see my surgeon the end of this month, and hopefully he says everything is good, also. We are starting to plan the trip now. I will take close to 2 weeks to get from Ohio to Tallahassee, keeping driving close to 200 miles a day and resting a few days along the way. I think Hilton Head would make a good therapeutic rest area. One thing I've discovered since the amputation, I can put my shoes on in half the time you can!

Good luck and may God be with you in the trip know you have to be excited about it. Being in the warmer weather has to help you.If for no other reason you can get out in the warm sun all winter. Where in Tallahasee you going to stay? Know that area well lived there ten years and south of there in Perry is where I was raised.

My wife has family in Woodville. We will hopefully stay in Panacea area or Ochlockonee Bay area. Have been putting off making any kind of reservations until we know we will definitely be going.

Hey almosr know you then I lived at Natural Bridge for 8 years or so. Use to go to Panacea all the time and camped at Ochlockonee State Park many nights in a tent and ran the river in a ski boat lots.

May the trip be peaceful and the journey more so.

Take your time, Florida isn't going anywhere in the mean time. And if it does hang a quick right and come on over to Texas. I'll leave a light on for you!!

Oh to be in the land of cocoa butter and waves again.
Have a good time in the south. According to the Farmers Almanac, we are in for it again up north.
Safe travels and keep the attitude going - it is an inspiration!
