Hobbies!
Besides camping (and I'm gonna guess fishing, off-roading, boating, etc...), what hobbies do you like to partake in? Which ones are you able to take on the road with you?
I'm a "dabbler". I don't have many obsessions, but I enjoy a whole variety of hobbies. I have to leave my gardening, canning, and sewing at home. But I enjoy bringing my knitting and Kindle with me when we travel. Unless it's too humid, I'm knitting when we are having downtime. And it's always with me in the car and hubby's driving.
I like to see the seasonal campers who have their container gardens. My husband teases that could be me in many years.

Now, if Wifey were to respond to this post she'd swear getting under her skin was my favorite past time.

Camping is my hobby! If you consider sitting by a fire for hours on end, having a nice beverage, and enjoying a steak or three a hobby that is.
I also bring along my rc trucks for me and kids to play with. I bought all electric ones so they aren't too loud, but still pay attention, and if the neighbors are bothered, I'll usually put them away. But usually if i give them a turn, they don't seem to mind. Buzzing a small rc truck around that will do 65 usually makes people smile.

That's awesome.
Great thread subject.
I am into scale (really scale) 1/10 RC 4x4 trucks and love to take them with when we camp. Jeeps, Bronco, pickups etc. Really fun to run around in the sand at Lake Michigan. Great scale picture opportunities too - one of my other hobbies.
Here's a pic of one of my creations that is a real hit when I drive it around the campground. The trailer is scratch built and 34" long.
Fully finished interior too
It's not knitting and such, but still fun

When we camp with our kayaking group, a few of them will have RC trucks. Scares the bejeezus out of my dog.

Being a Floridian, I mostly make gifts or lace/light shawls for accessory pieces. Here's one I'm most proud of.
The shawl, that is. Well, and the kid, too.

Hobby
My hobby's are building doll houses, and "O" gauge Lionel trains. While the paint or glue is drying on the doll house, I am playing with the trains.
When we are out with the RV, I relax doing leather work.

And while Robert is doing leatherwork, I've taken up tangling. It's creative doodling. For those who find themselves doodling while talking on the phone or any other time, go online to www.zentangles.com and/or to www.tanglepatterns.com. It's a very creative outlet and I give a class on it at several rallies we go to. I've even had pieces in a month-long art show.
Nice thing about this is you don't need to make a major $ investment or have any art talent!

old cars are my "hobby". presently a 53 ford, looking to upgrade to something else that catches my fancy. would like to build one from the ground up, but have neither the space nor tools for all that. easier for me to buy them done or near done and driving than to take up space for yrs to finish.

I like playing with computers; been a computer nut since 1982.
Trying to keep up with the forum and writing the history of my flying squadron takes up a lot of my "sitting down time."
I like watching movies when camping (don't have the time at home).
I have computerized my movie and TV series collection and carry it with us when we travel.
I like to read and always seem to have more books and files lined up than I have time to read them.
I like to pre-plan "On the Road" mods and work on the camper when "in camp" for any length of time.

Really like the RC's, the boys n I have not had our gas stadium trucks out in years, what I remember most about racing RC's,is 50+ mph, they break a lot.
Now they are older,(my boys) 15-17,so I try to hunt and fish, with them as much as I can,we work on our hunting property,in between.
So..hunting artifacts,motorcycle's,archery,atv's,....and so on.
But the newest would be,enjoying all the story's and people on this sight!

On July 5th weekend the KOA 1000 Islands Mallorytown are holding their Nascar/RC Car race weekend. The campground will be setting up a RC race track. Sounds like it will be a fun weekend.
