Hot water or not.

I'm debating if I need the hot water heater hooked up. I won't be unsung it much as I can heat water for dishes ect. Showers, well if I have one at the campsite I would use facility's since it's all payed for. Any thoughts.

Your HW heater is always 'hooked up'. The question should be if and when you want to light it and shut it off. It is quick and easy to do and shut off. you will want the hot water for your dishes.

I can't figure our why anyone would not "hook up" the hot water when camping. It uses very little propane on 'gas" and it's literally free if you have the electric 120V option on your RV water heater.

The same logic applies to your water heater - just run it on the electricity that you are already paying for in your camping fees.

The language that you are using (hook up/set up) makes me wonder (no offence) if you know how easy it is to do? Do you need directions?

No. I have been a tenter most of my life. Heating water was not a problem. TT is a first for us and I'm learning. It's all a new experience. I will take advantage of what I have then.

You will love the ease (Tent camped myself for many years) of hot water.

I guess I will learn the ease of.TT LIFE. I was content tenting but I could not get the wife interested in tent camping. She's going to be in seventh heaven. Two more weeks and we are heading out to a family reunion. I will adapt. Lmao.
My son and I just stocked the trailer and we are surprised at the space we have for storage. The heavy things will go in the bed of the truck. Tools and bikes ect. tarped of course.

My wife and I were long time tent'ers up until this spring. While we were used to not having the various conveniences and could still get by without them it is nice not to have to. Having hot water on demand makes for more time not waiting to finish cleaning up after a meal. We also like not having to lug around water jugs as we either hookup to the campground water or fill the trailer tank when we arrive. We haven't dry camped yet so have not used the built in bath/toilet but believe these will be greatly appreciated when we do.

Thanks Keith. I see you were a dinosaur also. Lol. I'm sure the experience with full service will be a blessing once I get used to it.

Don't know that I want to be called dinosaur.

Part of our decision was just getting to an age where a 2 person tent wasn't comfortable anymore. We also got tired of loading everything up only to have to cut trips short due to weather. We like to travel and figured the trailer would make a more comfortable replacement for hotel rooms along with lowering the overnight costs. In fact we expect most our use will be for travel as opposed to traditional camping. While we don't have that many nights out yet we have been satisfied with the time we've spent with the trailer.

Every thing is up and running now in our TT. Waiting for weekend to do a test run and camp night or two. Thanks for the input.

I have been traveling with two females, wanna make a guess on my life expectancy if there was no hot water?

If you plan on having a female aboard.

Fill the tank, make sure it has all the air out of it, make sure it works and then double check it.

The life you save may be your own.
