Fixed. For some reason, some of bikendan's links get double "http://" at the beginning of them. (weird)

Not so bad
I say and will always insist....A bad day in South Carolina is still better than a good day up north. We are a balmy 38* oh wind chill 26.
Please close that northern door.
1st year camped 42 nights (more than I expected)

actually, in NorCal, we do have seasons. warm to hot summers, crisp falls with color changing/falling leaves on trees/vineyards, wet cool/cold winters and beautiful green springs, unlike SoCal where there are no such seasons.
lots of leaf raking but no snow shoveling.
but never boring.
where else in this world, can you have a palm tree growing next to redwoods, which is what we have in our fire station's back yard.

In prepping for the unusual cold temperatures (at least for this area), I picked up several prescriptions from the ABC store today.

It was -44F air temp about a week ago, but it is 18 above here today, pretty warm for us in January. could hit -20 to -30 air temp by the weekend, more normal for this time of year. Glad we could share a little arctic air with you all for the new year. At least we expect it and are prepared for it, Hope you all stay warm and toasty.

At least if it does get really cold, you won't give a care.

"The ABC store" - I'm assuming this is sort of a state run liquor store.
If correct, how do their prices, service and locations compare to non state run liquor stores if you know? The last state run liquor store I was in was in PA in 1968.
