How Cold is it??

Here in Sandpoint, Idaho (45 miles south of the Canadian border) for the last three days, the high has ranged from 39 to 42 degrees F and the low has ranged from 32 to 35. Most of the snow from previous storms has been rained off. Not to say that it won’t get cold and snow again. However, due to the influence of prevailing winds from the Pacific Ocean, we rarely get an extended period of very cold weather. Today is sunny and at 10:00 am the temperature is 36 degrees.

plans keep changing,now going to va beach 25th and return home on 27th.Help daughter move 30th then on to SC to visit mother then on to niceville Fla.

31 F this morning. Thin glaze of ice on everything. Roads that
were pre-treated yesterday are passable. Subdivision streets,
parking lots and my driveway are skating rink.
Thank goodness the trees
have only a thin coat and no limbs down that I can see.
School's out again today.

Been good here so far, only been down to abt -25. Now come Feb and we have our annual 2 to 3 weeks of -35 to -40 or so then winter has officially arrived.

woke up this morning with 2" snow and still snowing. Expect 4" then rain freezing. Not going anywhere unless this is gone by the 25th.

Hang in there. My first night in our just purchased 2005 Georgetown was hanging out at Camping World overnite at 4 degrees. Thought wife was going to freeze. She kept putting the electric heater near the t'stat and the furnace wouldn't run. After I moved it, things got better.

Got to head South soon.

I have made a decision. I am going to Virginia Beach on the 25th and stay at a weekly rate for a full week then head for SC on the 1st for a week then continue on to Niceville fla.
