I cook it breast side down, learned this secret from a chef years ago. The dark meat contains the fat, so when its cooked breast side down all the juices go into the white meat keeping it moist. No basting at all, works every time!

Brined two 12 lb birds, then smoke at 170 in the green mountain grill for about 4 hours, and then finish at 375 till breast meat is 160. Oh and I went ahead and our a lb of bacon over one of them. Can't hurt

I have the same unit by char-Broil. In the past I used the traditional oil fryer but it got too messy and what to do with the oil after cooking the bird. This cooker is amazing and gets the job done without all the fuss. I placed an 11 pound bird in at 9am and it was done by 11am.

This year, due to a smaller turnout, mom did one turkey her traditional way, and I cooked a legless, wingless turkey on the grill. Usually I will fry one in peanut oil, but will do it for Family Day next month.

I've done it all. Oil, No Oil, Oven, Slow Roasted. Best way: 'Re-gift' all your stuff to your kids and let them do it. You may have to supervise a couple of times, but it's worth it.

Sounds like divorce might be working for you. I'm watching football right now - Detroit vs. Green Bay after having a nice meal the DW made
Waiting for Raiders to whip the Cowgirls later
Red Green is carried by our PBS from time to time - amazing what the guy does with duck tape.
I'm from upstate NY - never heard of Dexter

Darn - we might be long lost brothers. Not a Raiders fan - 49 fan here.
I hate the Cowboys and have been since 1989 when Jones brought them.
You and I are what's called ABC fans - AnyteamButCowboys.

I grew up in Tracy Ca, about an hour or so from the Bay Area. Them 9ners are my second favorite.
I'm outnumbered here in Texas but I stay true.

There's more of us Dallas Cowboys haters in Texas than you might think - some just don't want to admit it.
