Doug I wouldnt worry too much about the switches and stuff in your truck.
We have gotten lots of vehicles with broken windows, doors that are bent out at the top and let elements in and even a couple flood vehicles, and have no water related door/seat issues. Heck in spring 2010 we had softball size hail smashing windshields, sunroofs (even going through house roofs) and all the rain that came with the hail- usually an inch or so, and no electrical issues.
- course there is always a probability of damage, but fretting about it won't get ya anywhere. Window switch would be most susceptible, but those arnt too expensive and most are pretty durable to the elements.
Best of luck!

At least he won't have to stnd on his head under the dash to make repairs if it comes to that. The seat he needs to pull up while doing this repair is already closeby.

That's one I've not done yet. And they say CRS is a disease of us old folks.

Ehhh, it'll be fine. Figure it this way, people get in and out of vehicles in rain storms with no ill effects. The rug might smell for a while tho.
