More people on this thread looking over their shoulder than I would have guessed. Sad.

It is simply being smart. Some by choice or need choose not to walk through life as a sheep. There are bad people in the world and it being prepared or looking out in an attempt to avoid them is sad than so be it.

I agree with others post. No one knows that your returning home right away or moving, selling, buying, etc.

Not against people being prepared (I am) just don't let it consume so much of your life your can't enjoy it.

Ok, I agree with that fully. It IS one thing to be observant and think of things to keep prepared it is another to be trapped in your home, along with that crazy cat lady, because you fear being abducted because you read it happened somewhere...

Randy, as a Colorado resident, I can tell you this: You've seen the temporary highway signs "mowing operations ahead" right? Well in Kansas, they have the same orange signs, but the wording is a little different> "Drug check point ahead. Drug dogs in use". And there are not many places to turn around on an interstate without being noticed....

I don't see this as anything new. There is always a possibility that someone might try to hide something illegal in your vehicle without your knowledge. In fact I would be more concerned about something like this if I was near the Mexican border than in Colorado.

True there are always possibilities but what are the chances or odds of this happening?
