I'm sure glad we live where we do. High today was 47F, low was 41. Sure, it's been 800 broken, 1800 overcast, 2 miles visibility, rain and fog, but it sure beats what folks in Chicago and further east are experiencing! And we're at about 48 degrees 30 minutes latitude, just 50 miles (straight line) form the border with Canada.
As ex-pat Brits from Lancashire, we're used to weather like this, even in summer. My sister, who still lives there, reckons that Anacortes and the San Juan Islands is where God goes on vacation.
The downside is that 800 broken, 1800 overcast, 2 miles vis is typical for 01 Dec through 01 March! We have a high level of suicides at this time of year, primarily among ex-pat Californians.
