Is it my imagination....

or is there a HUGE increase lately of new RV owners?

Yes, there are normally a few new members signing in daily, but lately it seems like there's at least a dozen new owners joining our ranks every day, especially since New Year's day.

Awesome! And a huge to all of you!

I was just telling the DW, it seems like 100 people just joined the forum in the last hour.

YES! Is this a sign the economy is turnin' 'round? Or is it because people are *sick* of this hellish winter and are planning for and dreaming of nicer weather and better scenery?

A combo of economy, winter stir crazy AND it is RV show season!

I would imagine the forum grows by leaps and bounds every year early in the year from sales at RV shows and orders to the factories, then through early summer as newbies get their campers and first get their feet wet and have lots of questions, gets quiet(er) in the late summer as they are now experienced with several trips under their belt so a lot less questions and then gets crazy busy again in the fall with all the newbies asking about winterizing.

And then repeat.

I agree more with the second part of weezers comment than the first part. This winter does bite a big one.

Yeah, I agree with ya, but I was about to edit that post to include what RhoZeta said re the RV shows. Those folks, I'm sure, take winter cabin fever in to account when they schedule those shows.

It's no surprise to me when we recommend buying at shows and during the off season...

I usually can squeeze a local weekend camping in but we have not had a night over freezing in at least a month here in NC

Took delivery of my new 5vr and can't even run it through the tests

We're in the same boat. bought our 5er 3 weeks ago tomorrow and she sits in the back yard on shore power....haven't had weather good enough to even do the shake-down.

Half way decent days for the weekend, but the nights are a joy killer, and next week we're told we're going to get hit *again* with another Canadian deep freeze.

ENOUGH already! Mother Nature can we have some better weather?

(we got lucky yesterday and last night though...just light flurries here...and just South of us they're dealing with ICE and idiots out trying to prove they know how to drive on it)

Weather please hit *again* with another Canadian deep freeze. How would you like to be a Canadian in the deep freeze. And camping season doesn't start here till the middle of May.

I wouldn't. Not atall! These old bones aren't built for this kinda cold.

And to make it worse, I met and married DH while living in FL, then dragged him back here. Aside from the fact that I question my sanity re that move, DH is *not* a happy camper in these temps, being accustomed to the weather Old Coot is currently rubbin' our noses in.

OK, so your camping season doesn't start til mid MAY? I bet those roads are kinda like a current RV owners' version of the gold rush days!

Hitch 'em up and MOOOOOVE 'em out!

Then again, how are your summers for heat? Ours can be quite nice and the days are long. The wife doesn't like it too hot and humid, then again she doesn't like the cold either. Kind off like Goldilocks. LOL Would love to be down south somewhere, however health issues prevent that this year.

We've had roller caster weather here the last couple weeks in SKratchybum. It will be -30c with a -38c WC one day then up to -5c. It was +2c here yesterday and dropping to -30c tomorrow.

Have the TT stored in the driveway and look at it everyday just waiting for the May long!!!

Awesome! And a huge to all of you!

not even just here, but even locally.....i have had about 4 friends call and pick my brain about getting new trailers.. a lot of em have seen our pics and have realized as i have that it can be a fun way for the family to get out and spend time AWAY from here!!

of those 4, i have helped 2 already with towing questions and they went out and bought trailers already....the other 2 im sure will before summer......and ALL of these individuals are first time owners...i think its great!..a HORRIBLE investmet financially, but there is NO PRICE for the memories made!! LOL
