Although I don't drink much at home, a bottle of Jameson accompanies us to camp.

I've been alternating between Glenlivet 12yr at home and Makers Mark while camping.

Call me crazy, but the Makers Mark just tastes better in the camper than it does at home!

My wife likes Beam with lemonade in her hillbilly wine glass.

That, my friend, is the fanciest redneck wine glass I've ever seen.

No joking, and totally off topic, I grew up drinking out of old mayo jars. Back when Miracle Whip came in a glass jar, we saved the empties until we had a whole set of 12. Over the years we stopped getting the glass jars and a few of our 'glasses' had broken. I thought we were high stylin when my dad bought a whole set of mason jars. They had grapes and ivy on them, lol.

Man, I was so embarrassed the first time I had a girl over for 'supper' and she didn't think very much of our fancy mason jar glasses. Now, its one of things I like when I get back to my parent's house for holidays.

Will the girl be cool with mason jars or not... That is a fantastic method to weed out the undesirables.
I had a friend in college who took girls to either a tractor pull or a rodeo for a first date. Saved him from a lot of second dates with girls who weren't going to work out anyway.

Rod,

Great story! Too funny! Reminded me of when growing-up we used to have a collection of chipped beef glasses that we used for our OJ at Sunday breakfast. Dad used to like the stuff ... guess he didn't get enough of that S.O.S. during the war. Lol.

Mine is usually beer (a good nut brown ale or Guinness) but a shot or two of tequila will slip in every now and again.

Jimmy Beam, Adolph Coors, Sam Adams. These are a few of my favorite things.
