Nice pics, Turbo. Your DD looks to be seriously focused on her game.

How do you get out camping with all that baseball? My kids are just starting organized sports and we're already juggling.

Turbo,

Both my daughters played travel Fastpitch. We traveled all year round & when they were both playing, my wife and I were usually in different cities on the same weekends during the summer. Now my youngest (18) just played her last High School game. She passed on some scholarship opportunities and said she'll try & walk-on at her chosen school ... we'll see.

Sad to see it end, but glad for more camping time! It was harder to use the 5er when we were playing. For a few years we kept it set-up at a seasonal site and used it whenever we could. Later, the traveling became more intense and it was hard to get to the seasonl site so we pulled it out and used it when we could. The past two years I managed to take it to a few tournaments each season ... way better than a cheap hotel!

Awesome pictures!
I'm still playing with our new camera to get the action shots!

Its fun, tiresome, rewarding and time consuming. But worth it in the end.

Our boy is playing his senior year of baseball then moving on to UNI in the fall.
More pics to follow!

Turbo,

A couple of years ago my daughter and I drove from Cincinnati, Ohio to Sioux Falls, SD for ASA A Nationals. On the way we stopped at Camp Dodge to visit the 34th Infantry museum. Are you familiar with Camp Dodge? How close is that to your town, Lowden?

Anyways, we really enjoyed the drive through Iowa.

My 16 year old daughter (youngest of 6) plays fast pitch ball also. She is a pitcher. As soon as we get her schedule in February I start making campground reservations close to her tournaments. May weekends we dond spend many hours at the camp site but its nice to relax by the fire after a long day at the field. Starting next weekend we are camping for 6 weekends in a row for softball.
