Kamikaze deer time in PA

Almost got two big bucks about a half mile apart (with my mini-van) this morning on the way in. Hard to tell for sure, but at least six points each, possibly ten on the second. I guess rut is beginning, and the big guys are getting dumber.

Everyone stay safe!

You have a deer staring you down on the highway and you can count the points. Man, you're good.

Careful, usually when you count the points on the deer that just ran by is right about the time when the "other" deer jumps out in front of you.....

I was on back roads, under 35, and braking hard, so they were pretty easy to see. I was close enough that any followers would have hit me on a rear panel.
Good thing is the bucks don't tend to herd when they are following their... noses.

This is the time of year when I-70 from St. Charles, MO to K.C. looks like a deer killing zone. I will say that MoDOT does a great job removing the carcasses.

I didn't get one, but one got ME last year. I saw one cross the road in the darkness ahead of me. I slowed down but my Prius got broad-sided by another one that I never saw, other than the fur it left on the wheel well.

A Prius is like a camper: lightweight materials and subject to lots of damage when T-boned by a deer.
