Kentucky Nascar Tickets

We are planning on attending the Sprint Car race at the Kentucky Speedway on July 9th. Does anyone know of somewhere to get discount tickets or has sponsorship tickets they can get. I know there are some still available on the Kentucky Speedway sight, but they are set pretty high since it is their first Cup Series race.

Check ebay I've bought tickets from individuals on there. There's always someone who bought tickets and now can't go. Usually there are tons of people selling tickets along the road prior to the race, including race day.

Big Dawg Are you camping? We are planning to go to the race, but the campground we normally stay at is booked already (Big Lick State park), do you have experience with anyother parks around there?

thanks

We are booked at Follow the River RV park, its a really nice place. We have been on their list since last year. I talked to them today, and they have a 25 person waiting list.

Thanks for the reply, I have no idea why I did not think about the campgrounds filling up (old age i guess).

Enjoy the race, we will.

It depends on the size of your group and your willingness to wait to the last moment to buy from someone outside of the track trying to unload tickets. In my years of attending the Michigan races you could get just about anything outside of the track prior to the race. The economy is in your favor, but being a new venue for Sprint Cup will ensure a large crowd.

I made the mistake of purchasing TOO many tickets for "friends" who committed to attending 9 months in advance and ended up leaving me "high and dry". After that all were welcome to camp, but they could get thier own tickets. So, I was the one standing around selling extra tickets prior to the race.......and taking a loss.
