Labels and foibles

Ok, here's where I get myself in trouble as well as finding out that I'm not crazy. A supposed "friend" told me I was - yeah you MY!
Within the first three days of taking delivery of our CKTS, I had removed every (IMHO) non essential sticker from the coach. I don't like stickers! Of any kind!
So let's here it for my side! Yes, I'm a type A personality.

I also remove all advertising stickers from cars, trucks, campers, etc. If they want to pay me for advertising so be it. Bought a 67 Chevelle new and for leaving the dealers name on it, they changed oil, filter & lubed as long as we had the car and they furnished the oil and filter. Only one that ever did it. Bob Erikson Chev. in Milan, IL.

Depends on what it is. I remove some, leave some.

We do the same thing with all the stickers on the interior & exterior. We do leave the model number sticker on & weight info. Then we start adding our own stickers to the exterior, of special places we've camped.

I remove the "nanny stickers" (CAUTION! Drinking Gasoline could be dangerous). Stuff with good info like the VIN or tire inflation information stays put.

Oh good heavens OC...you TOO!? LOL I swear. DH makes them remove every dealer "badge" before he'll drive it off their lot. He says the same thing; they don't pay me to advertise for them.

With his current truck, he made 'em remove the badges, and they had a "Christmas in July" event going on, tree with envelopes you could choose from.
1. bicycle
2. flat screen TV
3. Oil change and wash for life of ownership

He drew the oil change, which is exactly what we both decided was the best one before he picked an envelope. That ain't a cheap prize to win for an F250! (synthetic blend oil)

In both our recent RVs we immediately removed those tacky looking stickers on the stove vent hood. The ones with Coach Net phone #s, etc. I stuck on the wall inside the storage cabinet above the stove.

So far we've left the Bayou Outdoor Supercenter tire cover on our 5er, simply because they are AWESOME dealers! IIRC there's a solid brown cover underneath that and when the black vinyl one fades we'll remove it.

On our daily drivers the only sticker is a subtle color-coordinated Masonic symbol on the top back window corner.

And what is the best product to use to remove these stickers..many of them leave a paper residue or sticky glue behind...have tried Goo Gone but it never seems to work for me! WD40? Murphy's Oil?....something that won't harm the finish.
