Last Trip

We're headed out tomorrow for our last trip of the season. This time of year is beautiful up north, bit I do get a little jealous of y'all whose season lasts all year. The campgrounds are empty and quiet, and it's just us adults. Three fivers going, gonna play a little golf and relax. Then....a long winters nap.

Sorry that the camping season is coming to an end for you & others. Living in So Cal that allow me to camp year around but our summers tend to last longer too. I think it was yesterday or the day before that we were in a heat wave of several days of 100+ temps. We have summer like weather until mid or late October. I don't like camping during the hotter months so I'm waiting for November to arrive. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. In the meantime I will wish for cooler temps for us and warmer temps for you.

Great choice for "Living within my means" and camping for one...

In Fl you can camp year round however, sites are unavailable to full time residents due to the influx of our northern friends. Basically nothing available from January through Easter. we have never camped without our air or a fan outside. Not complaining,

Two trips left in the 2014 season here in Central Pennsylvania. Hershey Park Halloween next weekend... Then a home game in Happy Valley when Penn State hosts the Ohio State Buckeyes.
We'll hit 42 nights camped by the end of 2014... The best year yet. Then it's tall cups of rum and browsing the pages of Amazon for 5 months or so.

One trip left for us, also heading to Hershey the 17th-19th. Here the Hershey campground is packed solid so should be fun and interesting. Then it's off to winterizing for us (well me anyway).

I am certainly envious of some of the all season campers for sure.

Yup..up here in the South..I mean Southern New England, campgrounds start shutting down about this time (most by the 15th). Our last trip is this weekend too. But it's a long one. School is closed Monday and Tuesday, so we get to camp until Tuesday.
