Long weekend

Well we are preparing for our long weekend. Debbie and I and the girls. (Dogs) Lexus and Zoe are going to Medicine Lake here in Alberta Canada.
We recently had to put down our baby girl Charlee. She was with us from a pup until last month. Regrettably she was not well enough to go on our last trip. When we returned we took her to the Vets. She had 80% mass in her lungs(cancer). We had no choice but to let her go. I stayed with her til the end. She went peacefully as I held her in my arms.
This will be a bittersweet weekend as we are taking her ashes along to give her peace and sooth our loss.
She was a camping girl and spent many times with me and the wife camping. We tented for years,my wife well not so much but I took Charlee all the time.
In retrospect she loved it so much.

How's was the campsite in medicine lake? I used to lived in Edmonton most of my life and still have family there. I never got to see much of Alberta. Atm I live too far from Alberta

It was very nice. It's remote and very picturesque. I am going back on the next long weekend to spend the last long weekend of the summer. Lol if we don't get snow before. It's worth the trip. 21/2 hours from the city.
