Hello Sir,

I don't know you or your wonderful puppy, but I can sympathize with your loss. I am sorry and I hope WE never forget how much WE love our doggies. They ARE truly mans best friend. Yes, dogs have souls of some sort. God bless.

Hey friend - so sorry for you and your families lost. I could tell by your photos of him and you at home and camping that you two were life long buddies.

It's commonly said that when you lose a pet,you should go get another one ASAP. Whether that's true or not,I don't know, but just take your time and cherish all the good times you guys had together.

Excuse me,but I have to wipe my eyes.

Sorry for you and your family's loss. It's very tough to lose a furry family member.

I told ms Amy last night I dont know if I can do this again.
She with all her wisdom said "yes you can"
I'm going to see how I feel about it in the spring.
The first year with toby was spent training him and we we're all well rewarded with the hard work until the end.

Once again, Ms Amy has shown that she's the smarter one in your family.

Take your time and you'll know when the time is right to get another dog.

IIRC you have another dog and I'm sure he/she is missing Toby in his/her own way as well as Ms.Amy and your children are.

So sorry for your loss my friend. A lab holds a special place in your heart. I lost mine 4 years ago on Christmas morning and still haven't been able to get another one yet. Although my first child was born the next Christmas so that helped ease the pain but we always have those great memories of camping or her love of swimming or just snuggling on your side. Seems we always think of her more when we are camping.

Take care.

Ron, we had to put one of ours down in October, I'm sorry about Toby. They have a way of stealing your heart.

Sorry to hear that we lost another Goshen puppy, Lowbubba. I'm sure Toby and little "Lowrider" are having a time.

Aww Turbs, so very sorry to hear this. I've admired your relationship with Toby through the pictures you've posted since I joined here.

Typical "a man and his dog". Obviously Toby had a wonderful life. Blessings to you and your family for giving him that life.

It took us almost 13 years after we lost our last dog before we got our labs. Just had a hard time convincing myself I wanted to go through the lose again. But now that we have, I'm glad we did. Wish it hadn't taken me so long.

Sorry to hear about you loss Ron, Deb and I are thinking of you and your family. It is always hard to lose a friend like Toby but he will be with many loved pets on the other side of the RainBow bridge as that is where all pets go to play and be happy forever.

Thank you all!

To bring the mood up a bit I sure hope he's fetching sticks on the other side of the rainbow, of all his special "talents" fetching was never his "thing"
Never once faulted him for it

So sorry for your loss. I feel your pain. I'm new to the forum....our TT is being built as I type (well, probably not actually....I think all the factories are closed down for the holidays until 1/2), but our decision to buy a camper was so that we could take our furry children with us on vacation. We have three: Xena-14 in February, KoKo-15 in March, and Charlie-approx 7, birthdate unknown. We love them dearly. Hopefully you'll see Toby again someday!
