Ya sayin' ya don't?

I've mentioned that DH is originally from NY, and introducing him to Cajun cookin and eatin has been FUN!

He'd never had King Cake until a couple weeks ago...he's hooked!

Can't seem to get him hooked on red beans, but I still sneak 'em in to my venison chili.

Speakin of which, he'd never had venison until he met me, and wasn't really much on red meat.... Now he even prefers meatloaf made with Bambi.

Do you eat lobster? Just imagine mudbugs as "premature" lobsters.

Didn't see any chicken and dumplings on that pyramid either! (got a huge pot on the stove right now...DH is about to dive in)

As a matter of fact, No I don't eat lobster or crab either. The only seafood I eat is shrimp.

I ain't suckin no "haids" either Oakman. DH eats 'em like you'd eat a lobster...totally disassembles that critter and gets ALL the goodies out.

If I've boiled up a huge mess of 'em and I'm gonna freeze the left overs, I'll scoop out the "head fat" to add to the tails as I'm shuckin 'em. If you buy frozen tails the fat's in there.

When we first moved back here we were eating as a Chinese restaurant and they were running a special....one free lobster per table/party. DH dang near had a hissy fit when a redneck sittin' next to us said loudly: WHAT? WAIT! I need cocktail sauce with this lobster!
