Go ahead and start buying in a couple weeks, say you forgot what she said. Remember it's easier to beg for forgiveness rather than ask for permission.

Thats normally my solution. I did just convince her I needed an air compressor because "its just too hard to air up the TT tires at gas stations or truck stops". She rolled her eyes and told me I better enjoy my XMas present lol

Tell her that the things are not for the trailer but for yourself to make her dining, camping, outings an experience she will brag about for years.
Or you could lie and say the dealership forgot to throw them in when you took delivery and that there were perks you negotiated in the sale.
Barring that remember it doesn't matter who in the marriage wears the pants - actually the marriage works better when neither of you are wearing pants...

Does she know my wife.
Between end August and Christmas i'm not permitted to purchase anything for my pickup truck, the garage, or my tractor.

Offer a compromise. Give up a personal vice or luxury and use the money you saved on gear for the rig. Ie., half the monthly beer/fancy coffee budget... skip that pay-for-view boxing match :-) She'll respect the fact that it is important to you.
Or offer every $ you spend on the TT you will match toward something she wants.
If that don't work.. and you been married more than 2 days.. listen to the wife. You already KNOW she will make you pay for it in spades if you try to side step her. ;-)
