She has a 350 out of a 78 Camaro? Iron heads, a great sounding Thumpr cam, basic edelbrock street intake and exhaust manifolds, warmed over Q-jet and HEI. Swapped out the TH350 for a built 200R4 with a 2800 stall TC.

Just looking for a clean, cruisable street car. I have a pair of TFS aluminum heads I want to install after I pick up a set of roller rockers... Next on the list is 3.73 gears and a posi.

I should paint it eventually, or at least finish hitting it with primer.

Sounds like a good setup. I still kick myself for not getting an '87 Grand National when I was in high school. It needed a little work, but would have been a fun car to have held on to.

Oh, me, too. I bought my first, all mine, all me, car. I looked at a bunch, but it was a toss up between an 87 GN and 85 MCSS. Both were in perfect shape, great running, and the same price. The Monte was at a small dealership and the GN was a private party.

I didn't know what a GN was, and picked the SS mostly because it had a V8 and partly because it was at a brick and mortar dealership.

I still haven't removed that boot I put up my own *****

Lol, yeah I went with a cheaper, newer alternative then. I had 3 choices (year was 2000), th GN from privat party for 8k, but needed some rust issues taken care of. A 94 Ram Reg cab 318 4x4 for 13k, but I wouldn't have been able to afford anything else a month at $330 payments. Or a '95 cheyenne red Berretta Z26 for $7400 with only 60k miles. I chose the Z26. Great car, though. The 3.1 was a fun little V6. Still miss that one. My ex-wife totaled it in '02 the day before we got married.

I feel for all you guys back East... We just don't get rust out here. That Mustang my buddy picked up, not a spot of it anywhere. But, EVERYTHING out here is more expensive. Gas, cool cars, houses... Its like the weather gets everything some ridiculous markup. Heck, at one point the insurance on my little Cavalier was $265/month. I picked up my house on the cheap... I think at the time, only one other comparable house within 300 miles was cheaper... I paid $185k and feel like I got a killer deal for a 1000 sqft 3BD, 2BA total fixer upper with NO GARAGE

You are correct. I purchased my 2011 Ecoboost in Atlantic Canada and the dealer said that rust was a standard feature already installed.

I said he was joking - but 8 months later they had to fix a rust spot which flashed through from under the door latch on the rocker panel for the back door on the driver side.

Hey you can be happy, or right. She said pick ONE.

We got a hired and trained up to reduce the load at work. For me it was 3 or 4 days a month.

The dog is settled in, I think we've figured each other out.

Now, if it would just cool down a little bit, I could be a happy camper, literally.

I had it all scribbled out in crayon and all stapled together, but that just looked TOO crazy. Going to redo it.
