Congrats on the new 5er!

26.5 hours til our appointment to pick ours up!

But with our expected temps (19 degrees Monday night) I'm not sure we'll camp in the backyard Saturday night.

It's winterized on the dealer's lot. They'll have to un winterize it for the PDI. Not sure if we'll ask them to re winterize it, or just bring it home, put it on shore power and fire up the fireplace and a little ceramic heater we use.

(they use the non-anti freeze, just blow out the lines winterizing procedure)

OMG OMG OMG!

SHE's HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!

I just told wmtire in PM, I'm so excited my hide won't hardly hold me!

We were so thrilled when we brought Francis home, but that ain't NUTTIN to what I feel now. She pulled like a DREAM coming home, even with some wicked cross winds.

Now I've got four days before I go back to work. Tomorrow's move in time! Time to add our touch to 'er and make her OURS!

I gotta tell ya though, when DH hooked up to 'er and I backed off to look, I instantly thought, SHE's HUGE! We bought a HONKER! (chuckle) but, once the shock wore off, she's the *purrrrfect* size for us. But she looks *so* tall sitting in the back yard.

DH says that Revolution hitch makes backing 'er in to the drive way is a whole new ballgame.

the dealer let me spend the night. Locked gate. they had a plug in. I moved stuff over right on the lot and spent the night. On my last trade, I was doing this on crutches as I had broken my foot.

Congrats on your new unit! We packed our unit out when we bought new ones. Mainly because our we bought 2 units in Ohio and sold the previous ones ourselves. Both times we traveled to Ohio (Tom Raper and Rv Wholesalers), and both time it was January. We traveled up, hotel for the night, got our unit and direct back home. It was nice to take our time reloading the new unit but I like how DXSMax did her move!

Again congrats on your new unit. Can't wait to see the pictures

I don't know if I can say that. This new fiver has already changed them. On my way to work this morning , about a quarter mile from the shop, I saw them approaching on their way to the dealer. I started honking and waving as we passed, and neither one even gave me a look. I guess being fancy fifth wheel owners, they are now too uppity to associate with me (as I told Weezer in a PM).

All joking aside, congratz on the newer new RV.

(I just got a snarky PM from a Mod whose power has gone to his head... He said I needed to change my sign line since as it stood it made me....ahem...I'll use the word "dishonest".

I said , yes, MISTER MOD, SIR! I'll go change it!

TBH I'm so excited I didn't even think to do that.

EDad she's such a beautiful thing to behold! While the TT was all about glamour and classy bling, this one says "take a deep breath, sit down, kick your shoes off, you're HOME!"

To make the whole day complete, our TX camping friends (family of choice, rather than family by blood...might as well be by blood, yanno) showed up to share the whole experience with us. Then we parked the 5er on the dealer's lot and went out to eat together.

This day absolutely goes into the journal!

OK, here are some pics that Ms Snooty (aka Weezer) sent me of their newest addition.

She has a dealer story that will make you all want to shop there.

Thanks FandRC.

I emailed a couple of pics of the 5er and TV to wmtire. He "says" he'll post 'em for me. We'll see! He thinks, LOL, we snubbed him this morning on the way out of town. Some folks just think they're so important *everyone* is supposed to notice them.

He'd best watch it, or I'll charge him for a tour of it.

wmtire and I/DH are real time friends. His shop is less than a mile from our home.

He's good folks. I can vouch for that.

(Poor DH is *out* in the recliner...huge day, and then a 90 mile trip home, towing a rig type he's never pulled before. 5ers are totally new to us. He handled it like he does every thing else...just get 'er done.)

Yeah, I'm going to post the dealer story down in the review section.
It's gonna be lengthy.
