Either 5er or Camper. Think it is a little childish to name campers. Now, TOWTA's car is "Old Junker" and my truck is "Weak kneed old Silverado".

Heart Of Gold

We're both science fiction fans, so we tried to come up with a cool-sounding name. Hot Needle Of Inquiry or Lying Bastard from Larry Niven's Ringworld series seemed neat, but we wanted something more positive and something we could say with a straight face.

Eventually we settled on Heart Of Gold, from Hitchhikers Guide To the Galaxy, on the theory that we may not always get where we intended to go, but we would wind up where we needed to be.

So far, it has held true.

We didn't name things, but our kids did. And I'm glad.

Our truck at the time they were born was named "Chevy" by them. They didn't know it wasn't original, and that's what made it so cute. When they were 9, we sold that truck and they cried all the way home. One of the boys will get teary to this day talking about "Chevy". To our boys, Chevy was a part of the family.

When we bought the current truck, it was light years ahead of "Chevy", but they whined for months about how they could never like it. We decided as a family that in order for it to join the family, it would have to have a name. Their great uncle, Seymour, passed away that year...so we named the new truck "See-more". Get it?

Our trailer is just..."the camper".

Naming your RV?

We call ours Trolley. Because a trolley will take you places.

then there is "the trolley song". -like at Disney World if you have seen the show you'll get it!

Taking in the sights wherever my Trolley takes me.
