Never a dull moment at work...
Had a barn fire and then spent 4 hours chasing an 8' 450lbs Ostrich....

At one time in my life I owned two of those they can be pesky animals when they get out not easy to catch.

Did you take that picture? If so you were well within handgun range?
That damn thing would look good in a 350* oven, but you would need a huge oven, and about 75 lbs of stuffing.

No it was taken by a motorist as we were chasing it. There's even video of us after it.. There was talk of shooting it after it began to run into traffic but the radio room did not find it funny... It would have fed our entire district! It was a mean mofo as well..
Worse case... Have a suppressed colt commando 10.5 shorty... Would have ended that pursuit!

I remember an episode of Dirty Jobs. They had Mike Rowe trying to capture them and putting socks over their heads. Was hilarious to watch!
