I like snow!
OK, I'm a strange duck, an endangered species......I LOVE the change of seasons....and living in Ohio. Granted, I go to Florida a month or two, but I go to visit my daughter in Flagler Beach...not to get away from Northeast Ohio winter.
I even like snow, cause I am retired and I have big snow-throwers, that I use, all over my neighborhood, to my neighbor's delight!! I may be the oldest in my neighborhood, but I HAVE THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT!! FOR ME, there is no greater sensation, than to go to the campground in late April, after a long winter, to open up my trailer. Trees are starting to bud, and there is a warm breeze, and an occasional scent of someone's fire, burning leaves from last Fall, as they clean up their site. Opening day, the campground is deserted, but as I am working, to get my "bed and bath"-on-wheels open, seasonal campers start arriving. It is so nice to see old camping friends....I know that it has only been 6 months since I've seen them, but it's like coming home again....to family. FOR ME, Winter causes me to step back from camping, so that each Spring, I get to feel the exhilaration of Opening Day of a new camping season. Wouldn't it be a boring world if everyone liked the same things!!! Like I said, I'm a strange duck. |
