Not looking forward to tomorrow.....

Dropped the camper off this evening for this week and weekend. Storm rolled through as my buddy was dropping his off.

As I was leaving and he was just about to, but his battery died, the wind and rain hit. Saw one large branch come down right next to my camper. Buddy went back down and I have another one on it now and one around. Not looking forward to tomorrow's damage assessment....

Aye yae yae...... Just glad we weren't in it.

Sorry to hear this. Last winter we had an Ice storm and several limbs went through our old campers roof. Good thing It was paid off and still had insurance coverage. Insurance totaled it out I collected that fixed the holes and still sold it for $1100 more than I paid to buy it back from Insurance company.

I headed down to the campground after helping some friends bale water but couldn't get in because the transformer at the entrance blew and it was being worked on. We had one h-e-double hockey sticks of a storm roll through.

We just had a storm pass and we now have a 40 foot maple tree laying on the house. Can't tell how much damage yet, still dark out.

Wow.... That's really not good. One of my friends parents had one laying on their van and old Mustang last night (he told me this as we were baling water out of his basement). That portable generator for camping came in handy as I was going house to house helping. We haven't had power since 8:00 last night. Luckily we have a whole house genny.

I certainly feel for you! That storm somehow missed us and intensified over Des Moines. I'm still cleaning up from the last storm that totaled out my camper. I just got the new one home Friday and then last nights storm brewed up. Boy was I uneasy. I rarely use our genny but I'm glad I had it.

QCCowboy,
Sorry to hear about your camper. Hope the damage to your Sabre isn't too bad. We had some pretty bad storms go thru last night too.

Well it looks like everything is OK for now. Still wet and I didn't have a lot of time, but I didn't see any major damage and no holes or tears on the roof. Someone was definitely on my side here. The rest of the campground is pretty torn up, but I spoke with the DNR and they said they haven't heard of major damage and nobody was hurt.
