Nurses

So I'm sitting here watching the 49'ers playing Green Bay at GB. My DW who is not a football fan,but will watch a portion of a game with me sometimes.

I told her the temperature was now 1 degree as announced by Troy and my DW asked "I wonder how many fans at the stadium end up getting sick from sitting in that cold?"

WTH - how many football fans ever even think of that?

Oh I forgot to mention - my DW is a registered nurse and I guess nurses think about stuff like that.

Short of frostbite do people get sick from being cold or were they sick before they got cold?

LOL. Let your DW know that all of us Packer fans appreciate the sentiment but a cold caused by watching a game at Lambeau is a badge of honor the next day at work.

I will - I heard Packer fans are among the most loyal,if not the most loyal NFL fans in the country.

I read somewhere that there's a long waiting list for season ticket holder buyers

My DW is a nurse, also... sometimes worked in mental health. Her comment was that those fans are "crazy" for sitting out there.

Yeah - it's got to be a nurses thing

I think Triguy summed it up pretty well.

You got that right, B! The last I heard was 80,000 on the list and 30 years is the average wait. I should put my name in for my great grand kids.

Amazing - got any idea of what an average price of a season ticket would be - not a suite seat, but just a seat on the second row.

Not too bad once you're an owner (as I understand it compared to some others (e.g., Da' Bears). End-zone to mid-field is something between $75-100 per game.

Not too bad - I guess the thing is to get to be an owner.
