Off the Road for a While -- Cindy's Health
Some of you know that Cindy and I were unable to lead the Mackinac Magic and the Smoky Mountain Jamboree Tours as we had planned. We also had to miss the Southern Ohio and Astabula Covered Bridge Campouts. Since then, we've started getting questions and hearing rumors about what might be going on.
Here's the situation. Unfortunately, Cindy was diagnosed with breast cancer just a little over a month ago. She is receiving excellent care through the the IU Goshen Oncology Center, and we're told that her prospects for a full recovery are excellent. In the meantime, though, we're off the road to focus on her care and recovery.
This morning she had her second round of chemo after coming through the first one like an absolute champ two weeks ago. There will be two more chemo treatments in two and in four weeks, and then we'll be assessing the next steps in the treatment regimen.
As I said, Cindy's recovery prospects are excellent, and we'll advise you of her progress. In the meantime we'll appreciate your prayers for her speedy healing and your understanding if my schedule is a little flaky for a while since I'm at her side for every treatment.
We're working on several events for the early part of next year, and are working with others to organize activities in their areas. If you're interested in hosting a campout, please let me know via e-mail.
Special thanks to my brother Mike (Capt. Mike) and sister-in-law Yvonne for stepping in to lead the Mackinac, Smoky Mountain, and upcoming Charleston tours for us.

My thoughts and prayers are with Cindy and you. Tough thing to go through. I have to many family and friends have to go through it. Life will come back to normal and she will be in the road to recovery soon. Good luck!!!!

Our thought and prayers are with you have been there done that with my DW and thank God she has been 7 years cancer free now. So with that I say their can be better days for you and Cindy. again our prayers with y'all
