OK, who was it?
DH saw a V-Lite at Duck Dynasty/Duck Commander this afternoon.
(parking lot out front is always full of RVs; TTs, 5ers and MHs, even on Sundays when they're closed)
Was it a member of this forum that visited our little town today?

(chuckle) I lost track of this thread...this OT thread moves fast and things get buried quick.
I was hoping the people visiting DD were members here. Would have been nice to know a fellow FRFer came through our neck of the woods.
DH and I pass by there at least twice a day and that lot is *always* full of RVs, and dozens of cars and trucks, as well as tour buses and big rigs. That's just the first time we've seen a V-Lite there. The V-Lite being our first RV together, we still enjoy spotting them.
During the summer (or holidays when school's out for several days) we have law enforcement there directing traffic.
At a truck stop up in TN we ran in to a Willie look alike truck driver. I was convinced it really was him until I saw him walking toward his rig. He said he's been through here on the interstate many times and wanted to stop but didn't think there'd be room for his rig. Before this past year he'd have been right, but DC bought out a couple of businesses near them and put in that large parking lot. He was happy to hear that and said he was gonna stop in next time through.

Well come on by on your way back North! It's less than a mile South off I-20. You could stop in at their new restaurant, Willie's Duck Diner, which is even closer to the interstate.
We're not much more than a wide spot in the road. Imagine my surprise when I joined this forum and discovered wmtire, whose shop is less than a mile from our home.
disclaimer; nope, this isn't a paid advertisement, just expressin' home style Southern hospitality.

Hey Weezer, I like the show and always wondered how the rest of the town felt about it. Just wondering what's that like?

Triguy, it's.....different. The new has worn off, but not in a bad way. That family hasn't let fame go to their head, and you run into 'em all over town. They're exactly here at home as they are on that show.
Willie gets a little goofy, runs around town in a duck commander camo rag top Beemer, strolling into stores with his swagger stick.
Si has a new home, which you'll probably see in this season's episodes.
Miss Kay and Mister Phil really *do* live in the house shown on the show. Willie doesn't live in the house depicted, that belongs to a developer here.
Kay and Phil had to petition the parish board to close off the road to their house because of all the fans who have found their house. She told me that on one day alone *72* car loads pulled up in front of their home. It's only accessible by a coded gate now. In her words; the money's fun, but we sure do miss our privacy.
I could go on and on but don't want to dominate the forum. (I'm too wordy here anyway most of the time) If you want to know more send me a PM and I'll share more with ya.
Suffice it to say, their warehouse, where so much is filmed, is on the main drag through town. We get lots of looky loos, just cruisin through town to see what it's like here.
We welcome them, one and all. So far the traffic hasn't been a problem.

Scott, they do bring in a lot of tourism to our town. I'm sure the restaurants aren't none too happy with the new Duck Diner as that takes away from their biz somewhat.
I was talking to the manager of the closest convenience store that is located between Duck Dynasty and the Interstate. Something I had never thought about, but they told me how much more fuel they sold, since this was where many of the DD tourists stopped into for gas and such before hitting the road.
