Yeah, I know you are a pilot..... I had all my ratings (comm, multi, instrument) by 1964; I was 21.

Intended to make it my career, but slowly lost interest until you could not get me in ANY plane today 'cept for maybe a Pitts or a Mustang. Or of course an ultralight or PP. Commercial airline the WORST.

The shotgun thing might be a bad idea; I'd most likely blow a big hole in the 'chute by accident!!

Hmmm hunting coyotes from a parachute count me in! How about hog hunting from a helicopter!

My understanding is that there is a place down there in Texas that does guided hunts where you can hunt hogs from a chopper!

Could be - I would only suggest you do a search first. There might be some federal guidelines/regulations governing such operations.

I have seen the hog hunting from helicopters. It's legal but very pricey. Would love to do that someday.

Maybe you should get a 2 seater parachute plane and made some extra cabbage selling hog hunts.

Hey Phil,
You old retired guys need to be more careful in choosing your sport. Sounds like you need to take up knitting! (LOL!!!)

Waiting for part for slide to arrive. Supposed to be here sometime today.

Feel better.

There's another issue I didn't think about until just now...... In addition to dodging Saguaros, there's the problem of possibly having an unwelcome meeting with to some two-legged "coyotes". Over even the border patrol chasing them.

Either way, one could get shot outta the sky, no??

Boowho??

Baloney.... I'm 71 and would have a PP in a New York second if DW would play along. She's even afraid of my RC model helicopter!!

I was only kidding Phil. We were together at the St. Augustine rally last week and know that he has neck issues. Just trying to lighten thing up for Phil because I know how active he is.

I think I'll survive. It's amazing the sore spots you find when you do something new or haven't done in awhile.
As for getting shot out of the sky I guess we better leave border control to the professionals.

LOL you sound like DH! He comes from a long line of "need for speed" men....race tracks around Long Island have websites with pics of his dad.

He'd race in a NY second if I'd agree....uhhhh NO! He has a neck injury that could reduce him to a quadriplegic quicker than a NY second in a bad crash. And NO, a Hans device doesn't work as an argument with me.

Yeah, I want him to live his dreams, but I also want 'im to live long and camp often!

And speaking of coyotes, a co-worker just invited him to a coyote hunt this weekend, on a 7K acre farm near us. Since we normally stick to hunting for edibles I asked him how he felt 'bout that.

"honey, they're predators, they kill stock and other wildlife! they need to be thinned out!"

he's quick like that

On a happy note

I think it would be fun to have a rally centered around outdoor sports like coyote hunting, firearms target shooting ect. Maybe Boo will have a PP by then. Any ideas? I know the range here in Okeechobee OK Corral has four RV sites but no sewer. They are planning to expand. There must be RV parks that cater to that.

Make it in the SW and I'd come with bells on!!!! 'Course most of the participants in this thread are Easterners, I think.

I can probably buy a nice used PP for $5K or less. Just hafta find some doofus that has had the "stuff" scared out of him and is HIGHLY motivated to sell out.
