DD you are right but, on the other side they get lower mileage and their maintenance is more. But as we all know you can't have everything.

It's what's available for sale.

It works like a champ.

It is easy to maintain.

Mine doesn't smoke and is quieter than your glass paks.

Rest is superfluous.

I do to. I let mine run about 30 sec to a minute and then I am moving. It is better for the engine and mileage.

Fuel economy doesn’t correlate directly to emissions. Please take the time to learn about the pollutants that these emissions systems reduce. I'm guessing you believe that "global warming" is real too? I believe the climate changes.

Global warming is a lie.

Carbon dioxide is plant food. Nothing more.

I Love my RAM Cummins it is quiet and clean burning. If you look at the stacks on the big trucks running the interstate the stacks are very clean, the exhaust coming out is cleaner than the air going in.

Yeah, Hey it's good to be moving "right" at the moment.

Take care.

Good discussion! I see it the realists (delete the worthless DEF/DPF/EGR system) far out number the environmentalists (tree huggers with head in the sand). There is hope yet for logic.

I bought my 2013 Duramax a year ago with 50k miles on it. It now has just over 100k and the emission system has yet to give me an ounce of trouble.

And who cares what you call it. DEF is easier to say than federal government mandated emissions control system.

I was going to say you sound like a climate change/science denier...thanks for saying it for me. That's all I needed to know.
