I gave up on the unreliable GE motor that was on it and put a Delco Motor on it that has been tried and tested. It's already outlasted that junk GE put out. Heck the Power Craft saw is only been used since around 1948 or 49. Of course the first 10-15 yrs it only cut wood and the last 50 on metal. Should be able to nurse a few more yrs out of them both.

You ought to be able to find some scrap tin to help fill the hole. Heck just use duct tape..

You've got tin, tin snips, a vise and a hammer and the truck right there. Hard to fab something without dimensions or pictures. Anyway, you can change colors of the duct tape to Hot Pink they have now to match your flip flops.
