It was late arriving here too....my BFF and I tried to stay up for it, then gave up around three this a.m.

9 inches here so far, they are saying up to 12 more before morning, some are calling for an inch per hour!!!

I'm going to suggest that measurement system to the local TV meteorologists. Easier for us in Wisconsin to relate to .

3 DEGREES here this afternoon and windy enough to take wind chills to -19 below.
Wind chill warnings out for wind chills heading even deeper to around -45 below during the night.
All of eastern Iowa schools have been closed already for Monday and most likely Tuesday as well.

I'm concerned with the wind that our well pump house will freeze as well as the septic field pump well.

34 degrees on The Ridge this evening. Maybe a little warmer in Mon. Am then turning much colder Mon night and high winds along with very low temps.

Sounds like heat lamps, heat tapes, electric blankets and another log on the fire For the Phat Phrogs out West. and we'll see it on The ridge tomorrow night... keep those diesels plugged in.

Duramax is plugged in but I think I'll skip work tomorrow.
Not alot going on at a roofing company when its -20 below......
