It is, indeed. We were in Kenya and Tanzania in 2008, and have been in Morocco and Egypt years ago. Because it was the rainy season in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe on this trip, and the grass was high, we didn't see any cats, although you could hear lions and leopards at night in the bush. I was thinkin' this was a interesting time of year to visit... "ah, yes, early Fall in Botswana where you can swim through the air as you swim down the streets
I was at AFRICOM 2008-2012 (AFRICOM, interestingly, is HQed in Stuttgart GE, but we were always flying down to the Continent)
