RVC, my Dad's only surviving sibling (my aunt) is over 90 years old, and she canned venison every year up until about 3 years ago.
It's amazing how well canned venison keeps...stays so true to flavor. I have her pressure cooker....it's HUGE...a 5 gallon pressure cooker!
My ex MIL (GRHS) had the top blow off a pressure cooker one time. It's funny now but then?
She must have repainted that kitchen ceiling at least a dozen times that I know of, and because she didn't kiltz it...the reminder came through every time.
I have a couple of the (smaller) original style, but I want one of the new style...they look a lot like a slow cooker.
P.S. Would I ever use that 5 gallon monster? NO! scared to death of that thing! It's just a treasured family heirloom, just like the quilting frame she passed on to me.
If age is a state of mind, and I've lost my mind, I'm AGELESS, right?
Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this rig around:
