It's awfully quiet in this pond.

When using a public campground, a tuba placed on your picnic table will keep the campsites on either side vacant.

So will rap music....IMHO

A couple years ago we were out on the lake with some friends. they had a rented pontoon and I had my wake boat out. We were tied up together in a cove with about 6-7 kids running the length of the pontoon and jumping off, basically your normal having fun.

Up comes another rental pontoon, throws anchor not 10 feet away and starts playing gangster rap. I asked my daughter (9 at the time) if she brought her ipod. Sure Dad. Pick anything you want and hook it up to Dad's stereo. 4 Polk MOMO 6.5 on the tower, 1K watt split to them, 6 more 6.5 Kicker's plus the subs in the boat.

After about 45 seconds of Taylor Swift at a volume that even made Jesus cringe, they pulled their anchor and hauled off.

I'll keep that in mind if I ever encounter a terrible teen again. My worst nightmare rolled up to a campsite once...a teen girl... in a bikini top and pajama bottoms....no one told her not a good look if you are 16 and weight over 200 pounds....anyway....
they only liked one song....played two days and nights nonstop from a tent. It goes: "tonight's gonna be a great night......it's gonna be a really great night....it's gonna be a great night.....Ey Yi YI. Dad had no say. Mom was drunk by noon. I think that was one camping trip short of going seasonal.

I think it is quiet on the pond today because our guy Turbo apparently had to do some work his morning - hard to believe I know.

GET UM!! Good dad, "sorry Jesus"
A while back, there was a fellow in the cg,who played the bagpipes in the am,at first I thought really? But then when I listened a minute it was kinda cool. He did it two mornings in a row,on the third, they had left. Thing is, I kinda missed it! He didn't play long each am,just kinda like a revelry.

Pretty Kewl. Don't mind anything at a reasonable hour that doesn't vibrate for 1/4 mile.

Now that is something I would love to hear! On our honeymoon we went to Grenada for a week on a 100 ft Schooner. Each morning before raising her sails, they played amazing Grace on bagpipes....it would make the hair on your arms stand up!! So beautiful!
