Would you believe they charged the ins. co. $5000 to remove the tree because they had to be bonded as to protect against damage? We, ins agent and us, laughed our rears off at that one.

This is before damage. Tree with landscape timbers around it
was the culprit. Left side of the house shows the new 3 car garage which got hit too. Broke a double 5' tall girder beam 10' in from sidewall on house side.

RB - you will notice that OC didn't comment on your Ram statement - that's got me wondering if he tried to move the tree with his Chevy

The silence is deafening.

Notice it wasn't a Ram doing the moving.

Not sure from the pic, but that doesn't look like a Chevy chassis under the crane.

Sure wasn't a broken legged Ram either. I do believe it was a FoMoCo.

Went out to the breakfast area and saw the dr/lr ceiling drop and immediately smelled gas from the broken gas line in the attic. Needless to say, we went to the 3 car garage, got in the 56 Chev and went to the police station 3 blocks away.
You and DW must have been terrified.

No, it wasn't terrifying, happened pretty slowly. We just watched until the dr/lr ceiling fell and we smelled gas. Then we hurried to the garage to leave.

Task for today is jack up the trailer and lube the axles, check for brake drag and check play in wheel brgs. Get to try out the new between the axles jack adaptor that jacks on the suspension framework and hooks around the vertical bracket to insure it doesn't slip.
