DH's is getting the permanent power supply (back yard) installed this week....he has plans for it commonly called "man cave". (eyeroll)

He's a Master Mason and often...for lack of a better phrase...."schools" new applicants. I think it's called "sponsoring".

The last one he did, I offered to stay in the back of the house, but they did it on the back patio...skeeters damn near packed 'em off.

Now he's got the perfect place for it!

When the Saints play the Bucs it gets interesting here...he's from Florida....so maybe now he'll watch the Bucs in the RV and I'll watch the Saints here in the house....now that we....ahem...HE...have/has the satellite system up and runnin' smoothly for the RV. If the power goes out here all the clocks flash 12:00 until he gets home. I'm like Sgt. Schultz when it comes to tech stuff, I know Nuttttthhhhink!

Ya know whut OC? I LIKE you! You remind me of myself....

I've been called WEEZER more times than I can count, and I've made babies cry for no apparent reason.

In fact, that's the name I *should* have used here.

If you can't think of anything to say about anyone OC, come sit by me!

I just make sure everyone knows my teasing is based on "no malice intended"...*ever*.

Oc I almost tossed my weed eater aside and bought a new one as you did....
I've had a stihl fs55 for 10 years now and have only put one plug and string in the darn thing.
Well it stopped running and would barely if at all start and run.
Replaced fuel lines
Replaced plug
Cleaned and rebuilt carb
Cleaned muffler screen
Good compression

No dice.

I talked to the dealer and he said replace the carb, Optimistically I did and to my amazement it runs like new.

How could that be you say?
Since you asked I'll tell you.

Evidently ethanol will eat away at the welch plug sealers and well its down hill from there.

Wasn't my weed eater, but leaf blower, but I just won't mess with them. I'll change the sparkplug and that's it anymore. If they need more than that, the garbage man can dig them out of the trash and have at it. They're too cheap to mess with. JMO.

Das why I don't buy them. Less than $75 ea for leaf blower or weed eater and when they don't start in less than 6 or 8 pulls, they go in the big blue wheeled box with a lid on it.

So OC , how's your trip going/coming?

Leaf blowers and weed eaters - what are these things you speak of?

Are they what my yard man who comes every Wednesday carries in his truck

It might have been the carburetor needle that needed to be replaced. Ethanol deteriorates the rubber point which then lets fuel flow flooding it out. You might consider adding a shutoff valve in the fuel line & running it out when you are finished trimming. I had to do both on my lawnmower this summer - about $5.
