Won't do you any good - OC is a sly old fox and he'll figure it out soon enough.
How much not to send him a PM?

Word of advice, while steel wool will make chrome "shiny" again, it is highly abrasive and does scratch (even 000). After a couple times you can scratch through the very thin layer of chrome, and it will never be as shiny as new. Buffing is a better way to go, but takes a lot more elbow grease.

Tried 4-0 steel wool and it did nothing. The 1500 grit worked right away and then finished with the 2000 grit.

Had chrome extensions for years and they just rust from the inside out. That's why I bought stainless steel ones this time. No signs of deterioration so far.
When we get home, I'll take them off and finish the job on the buffing wheel with compound.

Since they are SS, you can polish your pipes all you want.

On Chrome, I use this stuff called Never Dull, it works great. Eagle one makes a version that is real similar to it.

Good choice Sye. I have this in the shop, but mostly use on aluminum. Most of the stuff I use is not locally available and I can only get through my supply houses.
