Turbs that pic with the JD liquifire, brings back memories . We had one like that , and a silver one , think it was a spitfire? don't recall. It was late 70's or early 80's traded them for Yamaha exciter and an AC pantera. Been a long time.
Glad ya all had a good and safe time !!

We "talked" "goated" jay into going with us.
He rode like a champ!
We put on 125 miles and jay hung in there !
We even made him wear the "appropriate time period gear"
Full on john deere suit and bubble helmet.

RB,the silver JD might have been a (TrailFire). I had a (SpitFire) little green sled and the engine Fins were thru the Hood. It was a (Little) 340 F/A,I though it would be fun for the (Neighbor Kids),man did I get a (Surprise) that thig was a (Rocket Ship) from 0 to 50! Two guys could (Easily) lift it into a P/U truck! Youroo!!

The one pictured above was a 340.

John deere in Moline has 1 of every john deere snowmobile ever made still in crates.

Interesting but very true fact.
John deere made two prototype sleds with independent wishbone front suspension before any other sled manufacturer but didnt have the money to tool up and produce it.
They sold this groundbreaking technology to who youroo?

Nice !
The first one I recall I had, was a small,"about 8-10" long' battery powered toy , from power show in Wisconsin . Pre remote control, you could set skies in different variegations of a circle. Lol ! Then a l kitty cat by AC bet y'all remember those too. !!
Now we have winters more like back then , would like to have another new sled. Too many "wants" not enough. $$
