Speaking of specialties....I make a Bacon and Broccoli salad that most folks seem to like and 6 Actual makes these KILLER Almond-Cardamom cookies!
Chickie...where are we in the potluck planning? And what did you say we were gonna do instead of the Seafood boil this year?
I think we will start a thread to let those going to Goshen, that there will be one on Tuesday of that week. (That way folks can be sure to bring what they may need, to make their dish). Last year I started a thread to see who wants to bring what, and it was a big list. Then in Goshen, FROG Bob announced the pot luck dinner, and we had LOTS more sign up. There are more people that attended Goshen, that are not members of FRF, so they won't know about the pot luck until it is announced there. AquaMan suggested we just do a sign up sheet on Monday in Goshen, instead, to make it easier. Most folks know what they want to bring to a pot luck, and it really doesn't matter that they see a list of who is bringing what. We had an amazing variety of foods.
What do you think about this idea?

Chickie, that is probably the BEST plan that could be devised with the least amount of effort on our part (means more phat Phrog socializing time for us )
If we use the covered area and figure out what to do about the meat we should be golden!
The PPST "Private" party is on...Thursday?

Once we have a head count on Monday, we can purchase the meats on Tuesday morning. We will set up a donation jar, for folks to help donate money to help with the cost of the purchase of the meats. Last year we held the dinner in the dining hall that we all go to for breakfasts and dinners. There is plenty of room, tables and chairs, and outlets for crock pots etc.
Oh and yes, the PPST party will be on Thursday, as that is the other night that dinner is not provided by FR. I guess we need to figure out when to do the beer tasting too. It can be any evening, except Tuesday and Thursday, after dinner. We can hold that in the PPST section, as there are lots of FRF members that want to come to this get together. We can have them bring their own chairs, and we can set up some portable camp tables, and let the fun begin! I sure hope our. PPST section is not in the muck pile.....I'm just sayin!
