Not a question of doing it right, but all fasteners do not have to be torqued. the locking portion of a nyloc nut only has to have the nylon insert engaged to perform the design intent of not coming off due to vibration.

Still got my pliers (forget the brand name). A lot of things that once required sw on some of the older planes do not on the newer ones - a lot of the old "cannon plugs" that once required sw are now designed to lock themselves once they reach the proper torque.

Yep and come from a Chevy racing Phamily...DH from a Mopar Phamily
