Well thanks to OldCoot my awning is still here. It withstood 80mph winds and golf ball size hail. There are 23 people that have ruined awnings here in the CG, my wife called me home from work. Our portable canopy was destroyed. Thankful that was all

Glad they worked, are you sure it was 80 mph winds?

You know what that reject from Iowa says, "no pictures, didn't happen"

Yes they were 80 mph, and then a second storm came through. A tornado hit about 15 miles northwest of here and a funnel cloud was seen in the clouds above, security was making everyone take cover up at the dome

RB, A woman who used to work for me told me just yesterday that she and her husband traded their F450 down to an F350 because their insurance company considered the 450 a "commercial vehicle" and it affected their insurance rates. Said the F350 saved them over $600 per year in insurance cost. Might be something to consider if you are looking at something bigger than a 1-ton.

Well, off to Lowes for a section of 6" pvc drain pipe so I can start experimenting with an end cover for the awning that will stay on while on the road. TOWTA said that was good for a free breakfast.

BTW, she didn't say - and I didn't think to ask at the time - what insurance company they have.

Morn'n Capt'n
I already have one comm tagged truck at home, but it is a 3/4 ton, don't know if there is a price difference other than the value of the truck. I am self employed so it would be deductible. The biggest prob would be the initial cost of the truck ! Lol
